Although a smaller team went to the Quebec Open (James, you should have come!), there was no shortage of fun. Those who were there were treated to a most excellent kata and bo form by Diane (with all the requisite hip movement). It's too bad Diane is not in karate (if only Master John would strike the "discipline" clause out of the student creed).Selina kicked off the weekend with a win Friday night in the girls team fight, partnering with Ashley from KIXX. Only after much persuasion (from me), did Aditya sign up for kata (after travelling almost 500 km to a tournament), which he handily won. Aditya performed well (at the tournament), considering he shared a room with 3 teenage girls (unfortunately for him, two of their mothers were also in the room ;^).

- Saul - 3rd open kata, 5th kata, 5th weapons
- Brian - 5th kata, 5th weapons
- Selina - 1st in team fighting, competed in fighting
- Aditya - 1st kata, 2nd fighting
- Norm - 1st weapons, 1st kata, 2nd fighting
